Melissa Yoon RN BSN IBCLC

Hi, I'm Melissa.

I’m Melissa Yoon, an RN, BSN, IBCLC, and holistic nutritionist. Long story short, I’m really into helping families feel supported, prepared, and less overwhelmed during one of the biggest transitions of their lives.

I’ve helped hundreds of new parents start their breastfeeding journey, and I know how confusing it can feel when you’re trying to figure out latch, milk supply, pumping, feeding cues, and whether your baby is getting enough.

Milk Harmony blends evidence-based lactation support with practical teaching, realistic expectations, and partner-inclusive care, so your family can feel calmer, more confident, and more connected from the very beginning.

My goal is to help you feel less alone, less confused, and more confident feeding your baby.

Check Coverage
Do you offer home visits?
Yes. I offer in-home lactation visits for families in Plano, North Dallas, and nearby areas.
What areas do you serve?
I primarily serve families within about 20 minutes of 75075, including Plano and parts of North Dallas. Virtual consults may be available for families outside that radius.
Can partners attend?
Yes, and I highly encourage it. Partners can learn how to support positioning, pumping, feeding cues, and the moments when everything feels overwhelming.
When should I schedule a prenatal consult?
Around 30–36 weeks is a great window. It gives you time to learn what to expect, understand early feeding signs, and feel more prepared before baby arrives.
What if I’m already struggling right now?

Reach out as soon as you can. Pain, weight concerns, latch trouble, pumping stress, and feeling overwhelmed are all good reasons to get support.

If you need help right away, the Texas Lactation Support Hotline is free and available 24/7 at 855-550-6667.

Do I need to wait until baby is born?
No. Prenatal support can help you understand what to expect before the first feed, especially if you want your partner involved or you feel nervous about breastfeeding.
What happens during a lactation visit?
We talk through your goals and concerns, observe a feeding or pumping session if appropriate, troubleshoot what is happening, and create a clear plan for your next steps.
Do you offer virtual support?
Yes, virtual support may be available for certain situations, such as prenatal preparation, pumping questions, return-to-work planning, and follow-up care. For most initial breastfeeding concerns, I recommend an in-person visit when possible.

You don't have to figure this out alone.

Take a deep breath. Let's create a practical, step-by-step plan that brings calm back to your feeding journey and confidence back to your parenting.
